Stephen DeMeulenaere, Director of International Partnerships, will be speaking at Cryptocurrency Seminar 2018 organized by American Chamber of Commerce Korea. In this seminar, leading tech and blockchain companies will join as speakers, including Intel, Blockone, Upbit and more, to talk about ‘How to Use Crypto Technologies in Your Business’.
Title: Merchant Transaction Settlement & Mass Adoption of Cryptocurrencies
He will talk about the improvements that blockchain technologies bring to an economy, providing some insights into these developments that are arriving in the near future, and what this means for companies in South Korea.
South Korea has the highest percentage of cryptocurrency owners in the world. Much of this wealth is only circulating between these holders, and has not yet poured into the regular economy. Pundi X has developed the XPASS card and XPOS point of sale device to allow for cryptocurrencies to be spent more widely in South Korea.
However, before businesses begin accepting cryptocurrencies they should be sure to understand the basics of the technology, and the implications of this technology for the future. Stephen will present the foundation of cryptocurrencies, the open and public blockchain, the role the cryptocurrencies play in securing them, and how this private issuance of money may change the way money is issued, not only in South Korea but in many other countries. He will then demonstrate the Pundi X products. There will then be a panel discussion where questions and issues may be raised for discussion.
