The UAE Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has issued the Telecom Equipment Registration Certificate required for the full rollout of Pundi X’s world-leading, blockchain-based POS technology across the Emirates, also paving the way for wider adoption of XPOS in the UAE, Middle East and North Africa.
The largest experiential tech festival in the Middle East, STEP Conference, will be hosted in Dubai Internet City on February 13–14, 2019. Over 6,000 attendees from tech startups, investors, entrepreneurs, and influential speakers will participate in the festival. Constantin Papadimitriou, President, and Kester Wong, Product Analyst, from Pundi X, will join two of the four conferences, Step X and Step Money, to discuss the trends together with the tech leaders in the fields as well as to showcase Pundi X technology.
Pundi X has signed a MOU with Global Crypto Offering Exchange (GCOX), the world’s first celebrity cryptocurrency exchange, to customize a special version of a blockchain-based point-of-sale terminal. The collaboration aims to bring its celebrity tokens to the physical retail stores.
This is the first time for Pundi X to make its appearance in the Middle East countries. In the Dubai International Blockchain Summit this week, Zac Cheah, CEO and co-founder of Pundi X, gave his speech about how cryptocurrency currency starts contributing Japan’s GDP according to findings from Nomura analysts.
